The Velvets Revolution es un compilado lanzado en noviembre de 2009 por la revista Uncut Magazine. Este recopilatorio reúne "15 bandas inspiradas por The Velvet Underground".

The Velvet Underground fue una banda de rock formada en Nueva York en la década del 60. Liderada por Lou Reed, fue una de las primeras bandas en experimentar con la forma e incluir influencias avant-garde y, especialmente, el ruido de guitarras que los hizo definir el uso del noise dentro del rock.

“The Velvets Revolution” toma una muestra de solo 15 bandas de las miles que se vieron influidas por la Velvet en los últimos 47 años desde su formación. La selección estuvo a cargo del erudito melómano Allan Jones e incluye bandas tan "under" como 801 (proyecto del duo Eno/Manzanera) y Suicide (Martin Rev y Alan Vega con un TRACK INÉDITO!) asi como clásicos de los 80s como The Feelies y Loop.
