I wanted to focus more on the music-making and to utilize the talents of some of the great producers with whom Ive worked in the past, says the keyboardist. Some of those great producers include Michael Colina, Paul Brown, and Chuck Loeb. It was such a fascinating challenge to collaborate with all these different guys, each with different approaches to making music, says James. It was even more interesting to discover that the album ended up with what I think is a very cohesive style.
