Chris Slighs Word Records debut, The Anatomy of Broken, is an aptly titled collection of 14 songs that delves deep into the human condition and our profound need for a Savior. Co-produced with respected recording engineer, Steve Bishir, each song, written or co-written by Sligh, carries with it a different picture of brokenness and the resulting importance of extending compassion, mercy, and forgiveness to each other as people. The goal of what I wanted to do with this record is to communicate that its okay to admit that were fallen and broken, and if we werent broken, we wouldnt need Christ, Sligh explains.
