A new compilation of Baroque classics performed by the Wurttemburg Orchestra under the baton of Jorg Faerber, all recordings have been given exceptional reviews. Composers performed are Pachelbel (Kanon in D), Handel (Cuckoo and the Nightingale), Corelli (Christmas Concerto), Albinoni (Trumpet Concerto in C, Organ Adagio), Vivaldi (Lute Concerto in D), and Telemann (Suite for Viola da Gamba). Review Vivaldi: There is a lot to enjoy - The lute concerto in particular. Albinoni: The trumpet-playing itself is everywhere firm and clear, with good tone, style, and intonation - extra brilliance is offered by Edward Tarr. Telemann: Exceedingly entertaining... A French overture, then a series of character pieces, of which, La trompette, is a witty take-off...
