Currently he is a resident in Urology at the Medical College of Georgia.Thomas Hayden coauthored the national bestselling book On Call in Hell as well as Sex and War. Previously, he was a writer at Newsweek as well as a freelance journalist. His writing has been published in National Geographic, Wired, and Smithsonian Magazine. He teaches environmental writing and journalism at Stanford Universitys School of Earth Science. Hayden resides in San Francisco with his family.
